7 months ago this was happening

Well, I didn't blog the entire year of 2014.  Many reasons for that really, a major one was this...our family moved.  Our first home ...
You know...the home you find out so many things in, the home your babies come "home", memories. 9 years of memories wrapped into that little corner lot with a white picket fence in the backyard.  Lovely neighbors.  Not just neighbors you are "neighborly" with...neighbors who hurt when you hurt and rejoice when you rejoice.  Neighbors who became family.  In fact, they knew about Jacob before anyone else did.

Our second home...
...new town, new job, new daycare, new school, acquaintances but will they become friends  ...thankfully belongings stayed the same.  This has become "new house" and when we go to the town of "old house" we always drive by. :)  Not in the creepy, stalker kind of way, but in the remember whens and what's different and the loving kind of way that we did love that house.  7 months in and it kind of feels like home.  I still catch myself reaching for the switch for where the garbage disposal was in the old house (or insert some other silly habit that happens over 9 years.)

I was prepping for a meeting tonight and came to this devotion.  http://proverbs31.org/devotions/devo/when-you-cant-see-how/

Life has definitely been turned upside down.  But in the midst of it God is working.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Roman 8:28 (NIV)

God did call us to this place, so we search for Him and know that His purpose is being worked.  He doesn't promise that it will be easy, but we rely on Him.
